50 Marketing Skills That Give Your Coding Agent a Growth Team
coreyhaines31/marketingskills is a 54k-star, MIT-licensed library of 50 skills covering CRO, copywriting, SEO, and analytics for any Agent Skills-compatible agent.
You shipped the product alone; marketing is where solo founders stall. This repo — built by Corey Haines, the marketer behind Swipe Files — distills that work into 50 installable skills covering conversion optimization, copywriting, SEO, analytics, and growth engineering, and it works with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, and any agent that supports the Agent Skills spec.
Why This Skill Matters
Generic prompting gets you generic landing-page copy. Each skill here carries a specific workflow with its own trigger description, so your agent recognizes the task and applies the right framework. The skills also reference each other: the README's dependency map shows copywriting ↔ cro ↔ ab-testing cross-checking one another, and every other skill reads the product-marketing skill first to pick up your product, audience, and positioning.
The README's table lists 50 skills. The headings group them into conversion optimization (cro, signup, onboarding, popups, paywalls), content and copy (copywriting, cold-email, emails), SEO and discovery (seo-audit, ai-seo, programmatic-seo), and more — measurement, retention, growth engineering, pricing, and sales enablement among them.
Installation
The recommended path is the npx skills CLI:
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills
Install a subset or preview the catalog with flags:
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill cro copywriting
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --list
One trap the README flags: if you run the command from inside an agent session, it may install only to the universal .agents/skills/ directory, which Claude Code does not read. Pass the agent explicitly:
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills -a claude-code
Claude Code users can alternatively run /plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then /plugin install marketing-skills. Codex users run codex plugin marketplace add coreyhaines31/marketingskills, then install marketing-skills from the /plugins browser inside a Codex session.
Real Workflow: Rework a Landing Page
- Fill in the foundation first. Ask your agent to create your product marketing context — that becomes the
product-marketingdocument every other skill reads. - Then run a conversion pass on the page itself.

- Expect the
croskill to trigger. Iterate section by section, and when the copy is ready, ask for a structured A/B test withab-testinginstead of guessing which version wins. - For reach, chain the SEO skills:
seo-auditfor technical issues,ai-seofor appearing in AI-generated answers,schemafor structured data.
You can also invoke skills directly with slash commands — /cro, /emails, /seo-audit.
Tips
- Start with
product-marketingevery time. It is the document the rest of the library builds on. - Blank page? The
marketing-ideasskill holds 140 SaaS marketing ideas, per the README. - The project is at v2.0, which renamed 17 skills and merged
page-croandform-crointo a singlecro. If you installed v1.x, the README documents how to remove the stale old-name folders before reinstalling. - Email flows and cold outbound are covered too:
emailsfor lifecycle sequences,cold-emailfor B2B outreach with follow-ups and sending setup.
When Not to Use This
These are marketing-workflow skills, not channels: they plan your ads and draft your creative, but they do not replace an ad account, an email platform, or someone who knows your numbers. If you need deep SEO tooling with live crawl data, pair this with a dedicated SEO stack rather than expecting the skills to crawl for you.
