Search and Book Hotels and Flights From Your Agent
TourMind Booking Skills gives ChatGPT, Claude Code, and other Skill clients worldwide hotel and flight search with live prices: searching and comparing run without a token, while verification, booking, and payment need a TourMind token plus your explicit confirmation at each step.
Travel booking is the canonical "agent, do it for me" task, and it usually breaks on two things: real inventory and real payments. TourMind Booking Skills, a 2k-star MIT repository from TourMind, ships two agent skills — tourmind-booking for hotels and flight-booking-ai for flights — that search live prices, verify final rates, and complete bookings and payments inside the conversation.
Why This Skill Matters
Hotels: search worldwide inventory, compare live rooms and prices, view photos, facilities, meals, and cancellation terms, recheck availability, and manage booking, payment, and cancellation. Flights: find airports, search one-way, round-trip, or multi-city itineraries, compare schedules, cabins, connections, baggage, and total prices, recheck a selected fare, then book, look up the order, and pay. The same conversation can plan both around your dates and budget.
The README lists supported clients: ChatGPT (Work or Codex mode), Claude Code, WorkBuddy, QClaw, Marvis, OpenClaw, Kimi Work, Doubao Work Mode, Qwen Work Mode, Hermes, Cursor, and other Skill-capable agents. Its badge counts 2.1k ClawHub installs.
Installation
npx skills add tourmind-com/tourmind-booking-skills --all
That installs both skills to all detected agent clients without selection prompts. Searching and comparing hotels, airport lookup, and live flight search work without a token. Verification and any real booking, order, or payment action require a TourMind Skill Token — sign up at tourmind.com if you do not have one. The README's token rules are worth following: send it only in a private conversation, never in public channels or commits; the agent stores it in the skill's local skill_token.txt and runs chmod 600 on macOS or Linux; and if an authenticated request returns HTTP 401, the agent deletes the invalid token and stops the authenticated operation.
Real Workflow: A Tokyo Hotel, Then a Flight
Start with the README's own hotel prompt:
Find a hotel in Tokyo for two adults from December 9 to December 13, 2026. We want a twin room near a convenient station, an average price below JPY 18,000 per night, free cancellation, and breakfast if possible. Show me the five best live options with room photos, total stay price, meals, cancellation terms, and the main trade-offs. Do not book yet.
Behind that prompt the agent runs the documented hotel pipeline: search up to 20 candidate hotels, batch-check live room rates, rank up to five verified options, and — on the one you pick — recheck the final price, availability, and cancellation terms before anything is committed. Selecting a hotel is not a booking: creating one, cancelling an eligible one, and paying each wait for your explicit confirmation.
Flights follow the same shape: resolve airports, search live flights, compare up to the first 10 offers, select a quotation within 20 minutes of the search, verify it with the token, provide passenger and contact details, and confirm the booking before it is created. Afterwards, ask the agent to check the order status — if it is still payable, it shows payment methods and waits for your confirmation first.
Tips
- A cached search price is only an initial signal: user-visible bookable prices come from the live room-rate query, and the booking uses the latest values returned by the availability check.
- Payments have their own rules: Stripe adds a separate 3.5% non-refundable processing fee, and WeChat Pay, Alipay, and Online Banking are available only for CNY orders.
- A payment link is not proof of payment or ticket issuance — query the order to see real status.
- If the search criteria change or 20 minutes pass, expect the agent to require a fresh live search before verifying a fare.
- For trip planning, ask for flights and hotels together and separate cost breakdowns before choosing anything.
When Not to Use This
The flight skill's documented surface is airport lookup, live search and verification, booking, order lookup, and payment creation and lookup — it does not perform flight cancellation, changes, refund initiation, ancillary-service purchases, or manual ticketing; the README points those to flight customer service. Hotel cancellation is supported for eligible bookings. Every real transaction needs a token, and the travel services charge for what they sell. If an MCP integration fits your use case better than Skills, the README's integration table lists the same vendor's separate MCP servers for hotels (personal and business) and flights — noting that MCP packages use a different structure.
