superpowers-zh: 20 Workflow Skills in Chinese for 26 AI Coding Tools
Install the Chinese community edition of superpowers to give Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and 23 other tools a plan-first workflow — in your language.
Your coding agent jumps straight to code: you ask for a feature, it starts typing, and you catch design mistakes only after they exist. The superpowers skill collection fixes that by making the agent brainstorm, plan, and verify first. superpowers-zh is the Chinese community edition of that collection — same methodology, translated, and extended for tools and platforms the English upstream does not cover.
Why This Skill Matters
The upstream superpowers project — which the superpowers-zh README describes as the most popular AI coding skills framework, with 250k+ stars — ships its skills in English and documents 6 supported tools. The Chinese edition keeps all 14 upstream skills as full translations, adds 4 China-specific skills and 2 upstream skills the upstream later removed, and documents support for 26 AI coding tools. It also adapts to the Chinese ecosystem: Gitee, Coding, Jihu GitLab, and CNB in the Git workflow skill, and Chinese-language conventions for code review, commits, and documentation.
If you work in Chinese, or use a tool like Qwen Code, Trae, Kiro, or CodeBuddy that the upstream does not list, this edition is the practical way in.
Installation
The one-command installer detects which tools your project uses and puts the skills in the right place for each:
cd /your/project
npx superpowers-zh
To install once for all your projects instead, use the global flag:
npx superpowers-zh --global
On Claude Code you can also install through the plugin marketplace, which makes upgrades a one-liner later:
claude plugin marketplace add jnMetaCode/superpowers-zh
claude plugin install superpowers-zh@superpowers-zh
The plugin route serves Claude Code only; for the other 25 tools, use npx superpowers-zh.
Real Workflow: Plan a Batch Export Feature Before Coding
With the skills installed, the same request that used to produce immediate code produces a plan first. The README's own before-and-after example makes the difference concrete: you ask for a batch export feature for a users module.
给用户模块加个批量导出功能
Instead of writing an export function on the spot, the agent asks what matters: CSV or Excel, expected data volume and whether the export needs to run asynchronously, and permission requirements. Only after you confirm does it propose two or three approaches and start implementing. The collection's own skill descriptions cover exactly this sequence: brainstorming for requirements and design before code, writing-plans to break a spec into executable steps, executing-plans to implement step by step with verification, and verification-before-completion so the agent runs checks before claiming the work is done.
What the 20 Skills Cover
The README's inventory splits the collection three ways, and the numbers add up:
- 14 translated upstream skills — brainstorming, writing-plans, executing-plans, test-driven-development, systematic-debugging, requesting-code-review, receiving-code-review, verification-before-completion, dispatching-parallel-agents, subagent-driven-development, using-git-worktrees, finishing-a-development-branch, writing-skills, and using-superpowers.
- 4 China-original skills — chinese-code-review, chinese-git-workflow, chinese-documentation, and chinese-commit-conventions. These are manual-invocation by design: you load them with
/chinese-xxxin the conversation, so they never hijack the automatic routing of the workflow skills. - 2 upstream-preserved skills — mcp-builder and workflow-runner, which the upstream later removed and this fork keeps maintained.
Tips
- Do not run the project-level install in your home directory. The README documents that versions before 1.2.1 would write skills and bootstrap files into
~, polluting every project; current versions refuse and point you to--globalinstead. - Uninstall cleanly with
npx superpowers-zh@latest --uninstall— it removes the skill directories and strips only the installer's own sentinel-marked blocks fromCLAUDE.mdand friends. - Skip the manual
cp -r skillsroute unless you have no network. The README is explicit that copying the skills folder alone omits the SessionStart hooks and bootstrap files, leaving the skills present but never auto-triggered. - When auto-detection fails, pass the tool explicitly:
npx superpowers-zh --tool <name>.
When Not to Use This
If you work in English and only use the 6 tools the upstream supports, the upstream superpowers repo is the closer fit — this edition's gains are the translations, the wider tool list, and the China-ecosystem skills. And if you want a skill that teaches a specific framework or language, this collection will not do that: the contribution guidelines accept only workflow-methodology skills, on the position that skills should teach the agent how to work, not rehash a framework tutorial.
