iPolloWork Bundles 12 Creative Skills in One Agent Workbench
A 7k-star, local-first agent workbench that unifies Codex, DeepSeek Harness, and OpenCode under one extension system, with image, presentation, and video skills built in.
Agent tooling fragments fast: one workspace per engine, one install per plugin, outputs locked in whatever format the model produced. iPolloWork, a 7k-star source-available agent workbench, takes the opposite position — one workspace across engines, one extension system for plugins and Skills, and results that stay editable after generation.
Why This Skill Matters
iPolloWork describes itself as the enterprise-grade, local-first Agent Workbench for people and agent teams: one workspace for multiple agent engines, one unified system for plugins and Skills, and editable creation across code, documents, presentations, websites, design, and video. The extension lifecycle is global — install, enable, update, or uninstall portable plugins, Skills, agents, commands, services, and authorization once, with optional engine-native bindings under the same lifecycle.
The bundled creative skills live in the standard .agents/skills/ layout — 12 of them at the repository root:

Their SKILL.md frontmatter states the scope. image-generation: "Generate image assets through iPolloWork's image service, whether Image Studio is open or closed." ipollowork-video-studio: routes the active video request to its current storyboard, compose, voiceover, or soundtrack work. ipollowork-presentations: creates, revises, and verifies slide presentations in an active iPolloWork Design session while retaining the selected template's visual and editable contracts.
Real Workflow: Install the Creative Plugins into DeepSeek Harness
Desktop installers are published on the repository's GitHub Releases page (.dmg for macOS Apple Silicon and Intel, .exe for Windows, .AppImage for Linux), and the app runs from source as a fallback.
DeepSeek Harness users get a second entry point — the creative views as npm plugins:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile web add deepseek-idesign deepseek-ippt deepseek-ivideo
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh web
Open http://127.0.0.1:3080, start a conversation, and choose Design, PPT, or Video. The README notes that DeepSeek Harness is currently a developer preview, so plugin compatibility follows its active release line.
Runtime compatibility is explicit in the README: OpenCode is the default local execution runtime today, while Codex and DeepSeek Harness are optional peer runtimes with native session and tool adapters. A task can delegate bounded work to DSH subagents and bring structured progress back into the same project.
Tips
- The repository's
examples/directory carries complete example plugin packages, andexternal-plugins/holds independently released plugins for external agent hosts. - Work templates supply examples, Skills, and result criteria; the README documents that template role prompts and Skill references are projected into namespaced native OpenCode subagents and Codex role configuration.
- Each runtime keeps its own agents, Skills, plugins, and execution model — the workbench shares the project, not every engine's internals.
- Codex connects through the
ipollowork-ui-mcpnpm package's control surface, which lets external clients operate the desktop.
When Not to Use This
The bundled skills operate inside iPolloWork sessions — their SKILL.md descriptions scope them to iPolloWork's image service and Design sessions, not to arbitrary coding agents. If your goal is to add skills to Claude Code directly, a distribution like NocoBase's that installs through npx skills add fits better than copying a workbench's internal skills folder. And the license is source-available, not open source: per the README, it is free only for individual personal self-use and for small internal use by fewer than three total users, and any larger use requires prior written authorization.
