aso-skills: 40 Skills That Turn Your Agent Into an ASO Team
eronred's 1,834-star pack covers the whole app-growth loop — keyword research, metadata, screenshots, Apple Search Ads, paywalls, rejection recovery — with a natural-language router so you never memorize a skill name, and optional live App Store data via Appeeky.
App Store optimization is a team's worth of specialties — keywords, creatives, paid acquisition, paywalls, analytics, recovery from rejections — that indie developers usually do alone, badly, at midnight. eronred/aso-skills packages that whole loop into 40 agent skills for Cursor, Claude Code, and any Agent Skills-compatible assistant, each carrying frameworks, scoring rubrics, and output templates instead of generic advice.
Why This Skill Matters
The 40 skills span seven groups plus a foundation pair — the aso-router entry point and the shared app-marketing-context document: ASO core (the 10-factor audit that scores a listing 0-100, keyword research by volume × difficulty × relevance, metadata with three variants and character counts, competitor analysis, seasonal ASO, Google Play specifics), creative and international (screenshot strategy, preview-video scripts, icon A/B testing, localization), growth (8-week launch timeline, Apple Search Ads deep-dive, creator marketing, referral mechanics with K-factor math, press kits), revenue and retention (paywall diagnostics, subscription lifecycle, onboarding), analytics (attribution setup, crash triage), market intelligence, and recovery skills like app-rejection-recovery, which diagnoses rejections by guideline and drafts Resolution Center responses.
The design choice that makes it usable is aso-router — a single entry point that reads any natural-language ASO request and routes to the right specialist. Eleven skills also expose direct slash commands (/aso-audit, /keyword-research, /apple-search-ads and more).
Installation
Two commands, per editor:
npx skills add eronred/aso-skills # Claude Code
npx skills add eronred/aso-skills -a cursor # Cursor
Real Workflow: An ASO Audit With Live Data
Ask for an audit and the skill reads its framework, pulls real App Store data through the Appeeky API, and returns a score card — per-factor scores, quick wins, high-impact changes, strategic recommendations. Without the integration the skills still work on general ASO knowledge; with it, they pull live keyword rankings, competitor metadata, and download estimates:

The README's example chain shows how the skills hand off to each other: aso-audit suggests keyword-research, which feeds metadata-optimization for implementation.
Tips
- Don't memorize the catalog — start every request with
/aso-router. - Run
app-marketing-contextonce; it writes the context doc (app, audience, competitors, goals) that all other skills reference. asc-metricsuses Appeeky Connect to sync your first-party App Store Connect data — requires the Indie plan at $8/month per the README.- The example prompt list in the README doubles as a tour of the system's range, from "what's rising in the charts" to "help me pitch TechCrunch".
When Not to Use This
The frameworks are App Store / Google Play shaped — web-only products get little here. Live data flows through a third-party commercial API (free knowledge, paid data), so budget for the plan if you want real numbers. And an audit score is a rubric, not a market verdict: the skills optimize your listing, not your product's ratings.
