Aaron Marketing Skills Installs a 120-Skill Marketing Department Into Your Agent
A 3k-star Apache-2.0 bundle covers seven marketing disciplines with 120 skills, an auditor gate per discipline, and install paths for Claude Code and 70+ other hosts.
Marketing is where general agents get vaguest: ask for "an SEO strategy" and you get generic advice with invented numbers. Aaron Marketing Skills — a 3k-star Apache-2.0 repo — replaces the one big prompt with 120 skills organized like a marketing department: seven disciplines of 16 skills each, plus an 8-skill protocol layer, each discipline gated by its own auditor framework.
Why This Skill Matters
The seven disciplines each run a four-phase loop and ship a named quality gate: Narrative (TALE), SEO/GEO (CORE-EEAT and CITE), Social (ECHO), Email (SEND), Paid Ads (ROAS), Influencer (STAR), and Launch (RAMP). Auditors return one of four outcomes — SHIP, FIX, BLOCK, or UNDECIDED — so review is a verdict, not vibes.
Two design choices make it practical. Skills are plain Markdown and run at Tier 1 with data you paste in — no API keys required for the core loops. And /aaron-marketing:auto routes any natural-language goal to the smallest useful workflow, so you do not need to memorize 120 skill names.
Installation
On Claude Code, the two-line plugin route:
/plugin marketplace add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills
/plugin install aaron-marketing@aaron
marketplace add only registers the catalog — run the install command to actually enable skills and commands. On Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, and other hosts, the README documents the portable route:
npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills
The same skills install as portable skills on 70+ hosts, and a single skill takes a -s flag: npx skills add aaron-he-zhu/aaron-marketing-skills -s keyword-research.
Real Workflow: Audit a Google Ads Account Before Scaling
- Export the account data and paste it into the chat — Tier 1 skills run on provided data.
- Route through the paid-ads discipline, either by describing the goal or with the command:
/aaron-marketing:ad audit this Google Ads account before I scale --phase research
- Work the ROAS loop: research (
campaign-architect,search-term-miner), orchestrate (ad-creative-builder,bid-strategy-planner), activate (ad-account-auditor), scale (paid-measurement-loop). The auditor gate returnsSHIP,FIX,BLOCK, orUNDECIDEDwith its reasoning. - Fix what the auditor flagged and re-run the gate before committing budget.
Second Workflow: An 8-Bot Marketing Staff
On Grok Bot and Hermes Bot Mode, the same 120 skills install as named staff: seven specialists — narrative, SEO/GEO, social, email, ads, influencer, launch — plus aaron-chief for protocol and routing. You generate the roster with a script from the repo (python3 scripts/generate-bot-projections.py), then publish each Hermes profile or set up Grok bots from card files. The README is upfront that this surface has no web UI, no gateway, and no cloud hosting.
Tips
- Skip the slash commands entirely if you like: goals like "Find TikTok creators for a skincare launch and score their fit" route through
/aaron-marketing:auto. - Phase flags narrow each discipline command — the SEO/GEO loop runs survey → implement → tune → evaluate, and
--phase tunedrops you straight into the tuning stage. - The social discipline is planning-only by design: no posting, engagement, or DM automation.
- After real usage,
python3 scripts/skill-dashboard.py --root .generates a local dashboard of your next actions, decisions, and coverage.
When Not to Use This
The skills assist marketing workflows but guarantee nothing — the README's disclaimer rules out promised rankings, citations, conversions, or ROAS, and its compliance checks (FTC disclosure, claim integrity) are guidance, not legal advice. If you want hands-off automation that posts and engages for you, this is not that; and fresh projects stay on the Lite capability profile by default, with the README itself noting that real-project outcomes for the higher tiers remain unvalidated.
